Two colorful personalities on one stage! Musical revolutionist Pianohooligan and charismatic, well known conductor Marek Moś will combine their skills on 27th June in OCK.
Fans of experimental sounds will be able to look up to a musical presentation of Krzysztof Penderecki's music presented by one of the most charismatic polish conductors specialised in modern repertoire and an autor of the most sensational phonographic debut for a well known london record company Decca, the Montreux Jazz Solo Piano COmpetition laureate, nominated to „Gwarancja Kultury” (Guarantee of Culture) award, the „Fryderyk” (polish Grammy) award and the „Koryfeusz Muzyki Polskiej” (Coryphaeus of Polish Music) award – Pianohooligan (Piotr Orzechowski).
The Penderecki's early works have been discovered once again in the last few years thanks to the extraordinary collaborations of the autor of „St. Lucas Passion” with Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead, Aphex Twin and Pianohooligan. The eyes of international critics once again turned to avantgarde output of polish master. The concert of Pianohooligan and the Cracow Philharmony Orchestra conducted by Marek Moś who will play Penderecki's masterpieces will be the unusual opportunity to commune with the art on the highest level.
Pianohooligan says: „I am glad to be able to present my new project with Krzysztof Penderecki's music at the Life Festival Oświęcim. This is the next level for me, not only because of the character or significance of this event, but because my interpretations will be collated with the original versions of these works. This will be some kind of a test for me.
The tickets to this concert under the auspicies of The President of the Małopolska Voivodeship Marek Sowa will be sold from the 10th of May in the box officies of Oświęcim Cultural Centre.
